SCOPE AND CONTENTS
The reports contain comments and recommendations regarding fiscal procedures; balance sheets and supporting statements; lists of taxable valuations, tax levies, and rates; and names of municipal officials. For many of the larger cities, they include separate examination reports on constituent units, particularly police and fire fighters' relief associations, public utilities, municipal liquor stores, and housing and redevelopment authorities. Audits done by private accounting firms are occasionally present.
There are also some reports of special examinations or investigations of cash accounts and fiscal proceedings of individual municipal agencies or officials.
