SCOPE AND CONTENTS
Although the department abolished state board examinations in 1950, it continued to
require that non-accredited secondary schools give achievement tests in order to
validate their students' credits. These achievement tests were also made available
to other schools (both in and out of state) that wanted to purchase them.
