Separate sets are included for inmates of the Annex for Defective Delinquents (labeled DD) and Youth Conservation Commission (labeled YC). Photographs from the Youth Conservation Commission are also interfiled with the main set of photographs in numerical order.

Fairly complete for inmate numbers 160-498; also number 17 and many numbers between 90 and 160. Numbers up to 403 are substantially, if not completely, duplicated between the two volumes. Many photographs are faded.

DD5-DD291, circa 1945-1963.
Photographs from the Annex for Defective Delinquents, which operated at the reformatory from 1945 through 1963. It provided housing for mentally handicapped adults in the state’s custody who had no adequate housing. Initially individuals were transferred from the State School for the Feeble Minded at Faribault and the State School at Owatonna.
YC625-YC4120, circa 1948-1962.
Photographs from inmates of the Youth Conservation Commission which located its reception at the reformatory from 1948 through 1963, when it moved to Lino Lakes. The center was used for physical and psychological testing of those committed to the custody of the commission by the courts.
