Included are minutes and agenda packets and correspondence and forms regarding the bonded indebtedness of counties, municipalities, and school districts; issuance of loans from the state trust funds (particularly the permanent school or university fund) to cover such bonds; payment by the local units of government of the principal and interest on the loans; oversight of mortgage and other loans by loan and trust companies; and investment in corporations.

Also records of the three major state government employees retirement associations managed by the board; the Public Employees Retirement Association, State Employees Retirement Association, and Teachers Retirement Association.
