SCOPE AND CONTENTS
There are minutes, memos, reports, and background files from the various committees and boards active at the institution, including the advisory, governing, and review boards; affirmative action, executive, humane practices, inspections and environmental sanitation control, medical records and utilization review, pharmacy and therapeutics, reorganization, research, and safety committees; and meetings of the medical-dental and secretarial staff. There are also materials documenting the institution's departments, particularly comptroller, dietary, health services, hospital-wide support services, social services, and volunteer services and community relations. The latter files include a series of memos from the chief executive officer.
The general subject files contain correspondence, memos, reports, planning documents, financial documents, and related papers. They cover such topics as an American Association on Mental Deficiency survey; biennial reports; budget; constitution and bylaws; consultants; employee award ceremonies, Christmas activities, and picnics; energy conservation; foster grandparents program; hospital regulations; Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals; Legislative Building Commission; Minnesota Department of Health; monthly medical reports, reorganization; resident abuse; self-injurious behavior program; service delivery plan; staffing; and the trainable mentally retarded.
