SCOPE AND CONTENTS
Includes minutes, agendas, resolutions, correspondence, memoranda, reports, printed items, and other meeting materials relating to issues dealt with by the State University Board, its executive committee, and other board committees in administering the state university system.
Topics include land and building acquisition for campus expansion; building construction and renovation; financial matters such as budgets, student tuition and fees, and gifts and endowments; legislation; enrollment; academic curricula, programs, and policies; student affairs; personnel matters, including the selection of university presidents; and the establishment of system-wide policies regarding affirmative action, cultural diversity, and sexual harassment.

MINUTES

AGENDA PACKETS
The agenda packets consist largely of materials distributed to board member for review prior to meetings. They may also contain related correspondence, agendas, and minutes of the previous meeting. Included are reports from the chancellor, audit committee reports, and materials relating to student affairs, fiscal or facilities issues, system advancement, personnel matters, selection of presidents for member universities, establishment or discontinuance of academic programs, purchase or renovation of camps buildings, and institution of system-wide policies concerning affirmative action, cultural diversity, and sexual harassment.

BOARD EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE AGENDA PACKETS (MICROFILM SAM
348)
The Board Executive Committee’s duties included setting and approving the agenda and agenda packets for the board meetings. They include notices and correspondence concerning arrangements for the meetings, agendas, minutes, and may include partial or complete board agenda packets. Two 1992 retreats of the Minnesota College System Heads, which included the University of Minnesota president and the chancellors of the state’s technical colleges, community colleges, and state university system are also documented in these packets.
