The convict record replaced the convict register in November, 1902. The convict record was replaced by the inmate register sheets (individual sheets that were eventually bound into volumes) in September, 1915.

The first volume of this series was damaged and was removed from its covers. The entries at the end of volume F and the beginning of volume G are out of order. Entries for inmates 3600 to 3707 (old numbering system) could be in either volume F or volume G.

ARRANGEMENT

Entries are by inmate register number. Pages 31-38, covering inmate numbers 695-702, are missing from Volume B. These include the pages for the Younger Brothers (inmate numbers 699-701).
