            <head id="a3">SCOPE AND CONTENTS</head>
            <p>The convict record replaced the convict register in November, 1902. The convict record was replaced by the inmate register sheets (individual sheets that were eventually bound into volumes) in September, 1915.</p>
            <p>The first volume of this series was damaged and was removed from its covers. The entries at the end of volume F and the beginning of volume G are out of order. Entries for inmates 3600 to 3707 (old numbering system) could be in either volume F or volume G.</p>
