HISTORICAL NOTE
The Memorial Hospital District, a municipal corporation, was incorporated in 1955 and composed of Forest Lake Township, Columbus Township, Oneka Township, and the cities/villages of Forest Lake, Centerville, Hugo and Lino Lakes. The district built and opened (1961) a hospital, District Memorial Hospital, which was located in Forest Lake. In the late 1990s the hospital facility was leased to the Fairview hospital system, and about 2006 the hospital facility was sold.
