Registers of actions, arranged in rough chronological order by date of initial opening of case. Each entry contains the names of the parties to the case, the case file number, occasionally the respective attorneys’ names, and the dates and types of each document filed in the case. Each page contains one, two, or three cases. Each volume is separated indexed alphabetically by plaintiff. Entries are included for both civil and criminal cases. Cases are dated by the date of the opening action of each case; subsequent actions may be much later than the dates indicated for each volume.

These registers in two series contain brief entries on each civil and criminal case filed with the District Court. Volumes Q through U include civil and criminal cases; volumes V-Z and 27-30 include only civil cases. Each entry gives the names of the plaintiff and defendant, attorneys for each party, and note individual document filings in the case. Volumes 27 through 30 also include a register of fees collected for filing documents in the case. For most cases the record notes if a case file has been destroyed or if it has been microfilmed. For microfilmed cases the reel and frame number are given. All volumes contain accompanying indexes. Indexes for volumes Q-Z and 27 through 30 are arranged alphabetically by plaintiff; beginning with volume W the defendant is included in the index entry (although not indexed). Beginning with volume Z the index lists the case file number. The index for Volume 1 of the register of criminal actions is arranged alphabetically by defendant.
