SCOPE AND CONTENTS
The files focus in particular on forest fire prevention and control, forest management work, timber sales, stumpage and slash management, cooperative forestry services, haying leases, and administration of the office, its facilities, and its personnel. Daily reports of selected staff members give some flavor of everyday forest management operations. There are also some personal and American Legion files of ranger E. H. Rhodes.
The files are primarily those of district rangers L. J. Noyes (1924-1930), Homer Whiting (1930-1932), Ralph Snyder (approximately 1932), and Earl H. Rhodes (1932-1933).
ARRANGEMENT
In three subseries: alphabetical subject files; files arranged by departmental file code; and staff daily reports.
