The diaries (1938-1942) document reconnaissance and timber survey activities in Deer River, Little Fork, Big Falls, Tofte, Baudette, and Blackduck (possibly all in District No. 8). The study course papers and examinations cover fire patrolman (1928, 1932), elements of forestry (1933), and entomology (1938).
