HISTORICAL NOTE
The Industrial Commission was established in 1921 [Laws 1921 c81] to oversee and direct the actions of the Labor and Industry Department. It was abolished by the state legislature in 1967 with its commissioners designated as the Workers' Compensation Commission. The Workers' Compensation Commission existed until 1976 when it was succeeded by the Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals.
