SCOPE AND CONTENTS
The files include correspondence, minutes of AVTI directors' meetings, course offerings, enrollment statistics, clippings, memos, Van Tries' weekly progress reports detailing his AVTI activities, and materials documenting various manpower projects operating in the AVTIs.
There are also memos from Education Commissioner Duane Mattheis and Assistant Commissioner Farley D. Bright; correspondence and materials from the U. S. Office of Education; a radio script and clippings covering Van Tries' appearance on the U. S. Chamber of Commerce's "What's The Issue?" program concerning the success of Minnesota's AVTIs; and a file on proposals for future AVTIs.
There are also two sets of files, arranged alphabetically by AVTI name or locale, that contain correspondence, reports, and copies of minutes of local school boards, task forces, and advisory committees.
