AUDITOR:

An Inventory of Its Warrant Registers and Related Records at the Minnesota Historical Society

Government Records

Expand/CollapseOVERVIEW

Creator: Minnesota. State Auditor.
Title:Warrant Registers and Related Records.
Dates:1858-1890.
Language:Materials in English.
Abstract:Registers record warrants issued by the auditor, authorizing payment for approved expenses, to be presented to the state treasurer for payment. The warrants registered appear to have been authorized from two funds, a general or miscellaneous fund and a legislative fund. There are also two series of registers, one created in the auditor's office where the warrants were issued, and another in the treasurer's office where they were redeemed. The information contained in both series is nearly the same, except that the auditor's registers show what the payment is for and the treasurer's do not. Legislative warrants were issued in separate numerical series for each session or extra session.
Quantity:4.0 cubic feet (11 volumes).
Location: See Detailed Description for shelf locations.
