The post adjutants' reports contain rosters of the post's officers, lists of new members admitted during the report period (including some personal and Civil War service data), and summary membership statistics. The quartermaster's reports summarize the post's receipts and expenditures, transmit dues to departmental headquarters, and note the value of post property. The reports include data on individuals who served in non-Minnesota military units. Supplementing the reports are record books that note receipt of posts' reports and dues and that summarize membership data.

			By year, thereunder by post, for 1886 and 1889. Quarterly record of number of members, total tax (dues) paid to Minnesota GAR headquarters, and date paid. Also includes a record of late taxes for 1885, paid in 1886 (page 43); charter fees paid during 1886 (page 45); and post contributions to the U.S. Grant Memorial Fund (page 47) and the Charleston Fund (page 49). 			Journal entries (chronological by date received) of quarterly per capita tax receipts from posts for first quarter 1887 (pages 1-13); and a record, by post, of quarterly taxes paid for 1888 (pages 30-74).
