			These record the progress of completion of the Minnesota land survey. Some were printed by the U.S. General Land Office.

			A list of township surveys completed as of June 30, 1862, arranged by range and township. For each township surveyed it gives the acres of public lands, acres subject to private land claims, military reservations or Indian reservations, and the total acreage of the township.


		Diagrams of county plats sold by Jewett and Son. 2 items.
			This commercial firm retailed copies of township and county plats.

		Survey Plats, 1857-1912.
			Assorted plats created by the U.S. Surveyor General’s office or copied from their official plats. Most are for parcels in the counties of Itasca, Cass, Becker, Mahnomen, and Clearwater. The plats are arranged by prime meridian, thereunder by range, and thereunder by township. The list notes if the plats are manuscript (mss), printed (pr), or printed with manuscript annotations (pr/mss). The dates represent the last date on which the plat was updated. Some of the plats are in color. An asterisk indicates that the plat has been encapsulated. If the county is identified on the plat, it has been noted on the list. Transferred from MHS map library; some bear MHS Library donation information in the margins. Some may duplicate information in the official U.S. Surveyor General plats.
