HISTORICAL NOTE
The CCCHAP served as an advisory body to the STD and HIV section of the state Department of Health in order to assist in creating a comprehensive HIV prevention plan that prioritized populations identified as being most at-risk of infection. The body was convened and funded by the MDH-STD and HIV section. Membership was largely made up of community members, of whom a minimum of 25% were people living with HIV or AIDS. Representatives of the following state agencies were also included: Human Services, Corrections, Education, and the Department of Health STD and HIV co-chair. In 2016 the CCCHAP became the Minnesota Council for HIV/AIDS Care and Prevention (MCHACP).
