For each county, lists the name of each township or village, its location (legal description), and remarks, usually name changes and citations to letters (see Township Organization Files, below), laws, or diagrams.
Pages 150-253. New record of townships, 1870–approximately 1976.
Counties organized as of June, 1870, are listed alphabetically. Under each county is listed each township or village name, legal description, and remarks (usually date of organization). Also includes county sketch maps showing boundaries and names of townships, and information on the organization, boundaries, and name of the county itself, with citations to laws and other records.
Pages 254-305. Same information for counties organized after June, 1870.
Indexes to counties (pages i-xxviii) and towns (pages 541-572).
