| Abstract: | Minutes of the weekly medical staff meetings (1925-1962) and weekly (1963-1979) and monthly (1979-1988)
medical/administration meetings. The early minutes deal exclusively with the medical treatments and policies of the sanatorium,
and the professional activities of the medical staff. The later minutes, while continuing to deal with the above, also cover the
various administrative and financial aspects of the sanatorium/nursing home's operation. |

There are also minutes of clinical conferences (1930-1973), which discuss individual patients' cases, and the nursing home's utilization
review committee (1967-1973). The latter's purpose was to assure high quality patient care and effective and efficient utilization of hospital
facilities and services through analysis, review, and evaluation of clinical practices within the hospital. It also helped develop an annual
utilization review plan, submitted to the Minnesota departments of health and public welfare as a condition for participation in the Health
Insurance for the Aged Program (later Medicare and Medicaid).
