There are files relating to such matters as construction and operation of nursing homes and supervised living facilities, hospital rates, abortion regulation, waste disposal, environmental health, hazardous substances, water quality, revocation of nursing licenses, health maintenance organizations, outpatient surgical centers, tuberculosis testing, radiation, the Minnesota Board of Dentistry, assessments for non-compliance made against health care facilities, health data collection, home health care, health care grants and services, acupuncture, the state board of medical examiners, hearing instruments, intermediate care facilities for people with mental disabilities, naturopathic physicians, and physician’s assistants.

The records include statements of need, transcripts, findings of fact and conclusions, memoranda, other legal instruments, and substantive correspondence. Most cases were heard before the State Board of Health or State Office of Hearing Examiners. There are also several folders relating to the Advisory Task Force on Recodification and Reform of Health Care Law (1994-1995).
