HISTORICAL NOTE
In addition to his county extension service, Kirkpatrick was a founder and/or active promoter in the Twin Cities area of the Farm Bureau, 4-H, the Milk Producers Association, and several other agricultural organizations. During World War II, he toured the county giving free classes on canning, gardening and other home-based wartime agricultural activities.
SCOPE AND CONTENTS
They include his annual reports and diaries, speech notes, an autobiographical sketch, and miscellany of the Twin City Milk Producers Association and the Hennepin County Farm Bureau Association. An extensive set of photographs document 4-H and other farm youth activities, prize livestock, farm fields and experimental plots, individual farms, and other agricultural subjects.
