SCOPE AND CONTENTS
The files also contain minutes, correspondence, annual meeting materials, directories, reports, studies, resolutions, and related materials covering the division's relationship (often as a member) with the Conference of State Sanitary Engineers, Great Lakes Basin Commission, Great Lakes-Upper Mississippi River Board of State Sanitary Engineers, Missouri River Basin Health Council, Upper Mississippi River Conservation Committee, and the state's Department of Agriculture, Dairy and Food.
They also document the Upper Mississippi River Drainage Sanitation Agreement (1931-1949), between the Upper Mississippi River and Great Lakes Boards of Public Health Engineers; research into the [H. O.] Halverson-[Randolph L.] Smith sewage treatment process, a fine screen process and its pilot plant in River Falls, Wisconsin (1935-1945); participation in the 1939-1942 Board of State Health Commissioners' federally funded Interstate Malaria Survey and a 1949-1951 malarial mosquito survey, done in cooperation with the National Defense Program; rat control projects and procedures (1939-1961); and migrant labor health projects (1950-1974). The latter includes coverage of the Minnesota Migrant Health Project, Minnesota Migrant Council, the Governor's Farm and Migratory Labor Advisory Committee, and a 1974 publication about migrant health programs produced by the National Migrant Information Clearinghouse.
