Expand/CollapseSCOPE AND CONTENTS

They consist of a "General Index," 1855-1900 (Reels 1-2) and "Reception Books," 1857-1901 (Reels 3-10). The general index may cover only transactions that formally transferred ownership of land. The reception books appear to contain a more complete record of all transactions involving land (sales, mortgages, satisfactions, etc.).

Also present, on reel 10, is an estray record, 1865-1958 (cataloged separately).
