| Abstract: | Typescripts and mimeograph copies, for the years 1919 and 1923-1982. These reports document the work of
the Cook County Extension Service and its agents in some detail. Though the reports are not complete, they give a glimpse of
agricultural conditions in this northeast county from the 1920s into the 1980s. In most of the reports, the narrative section
is extensive with a complete listing of projects and goals and achievements. A second section consists of statistics. |

Many of the reports also contain an index, county map, detailed accounts of 4-H club projects, and reports on livestock, poultry,
fruits and vegetables, and forage growing programs. Programs on home beautification, home gardens, army worm control, disease control,
fertilizer trials, and clothes and bread making also are documented. Most reports conclude with an outlook and recommendations for the
next year's programs. Black and white snapshots (adhered to the pages) also document programs and events, including ribbons winners at
the county fair.
