BECKER COUNTY: DISTRICT COURT:

Through 1955 (files 1-73), the court assigned the same file number to two or more cases, based sometimes on the page number in the coroner’s inquest registers (cataloged separately), and sometimes (apparently) on the volume of a case file storage packet. Files 33 and 34, assigned on the latter basis, are especially voluminous.

Files 1-73 have been arranged in the order in which they are recorded in the court’s Registers of Coroner’s Inquests. For those recorded in Register B (which is divided into two separately numbered sections), each file folder also gives the register pages on which the files in that folder are recorded. Files for the two file-number sequences in Register B have been interfiled.
