SCOPE AND CONTENTS

Volumes 1 and 2 (1889-1897) contain a record of inmate name, number, maximum sentence, minimum sentence, date received, and a weekly tabular record of misconduct reports (if any).

Volumes 3 and 4 (1892-1902) are labeled "Register of Vital Statistics and Misconduct Record" and contain, besides a tabular record of conduct, substantial data regarding each inmate's background, appearance, and health.

Pursuant to Laws of 1887, Chapter 208, the reformatory filed semi-annual conduct reports with the secretary of state.
