SCOPE AND CONTENTS
The records include statements and/or testimony submitted to the committee at its meetings and at public hearings (October 1979-February 1980), minutes, an incomplete set of meeting/hearing tape recordings (October 1979-January 1980), final report (February 1980), and administrative/subject files.
The latter contain members' attendance statistics, the committee's interim 1979-1980 budget, material from local and national corrections conferences, lists and copies of juvenile justice legislation (1973-1980), press releases (1979-1980), and background materials (1978-1979).
There is also a copy of a juvenile corrections questionnaire and compiled statistics done by the earlier Select Advisory Committee on Corrections (1974) and a research report covering a Sikorski sponsored bill that dealt with serious juvenile offenders, done by the Center for New Democratic Processes (1977).
