Also included are samples of letters to and from residents, postcards from parolees to the superintendent (at one time a condition of parole), and letters relating to the school's budget.

			Correspondence with residents was severely censored for many years. Most of these letters are to residents but were probably never delivered to them. This small sample of correspondence was retained by the superintendent for an unknown reason. No envelopes were retained so the exact identification of each recipient is often unknown.
