ANIMAL HEALTH BOARD:

There are reports on major disease outbreaks and control methods employed; numerous reports and data on the testing of various animals for specific diseases; charts of the state's progress in animal disease control and prevention; and reports on disease research and results of experiments conducted. Lists of staff, financial statements, comments on new legislation, and reports of staff field trips also are included.

Reports prior to 1920 seem to contain more narrative, including minutes of quarterly meetings, with an occasional statistical chart or graph. Reports starting in the 1970s, while containing organizational charts and reports of the board's various divisions, contain less narrative and consist largely of statistical charts, graphs, and tables.
