They document the various programs and activities of the board, particularly proposed hazardous waste disposal and processing facility sites, including the crystalline bedrock project; board meetings and administration; Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and federal regulations; Canadian government officials; litigation; legislative procedures; Consortium of State Hazardous Waste Siting Authorities, Inc; and board relations with the Local Project Review Committees (LPRC); Legislative Commission on Waste Management (LCWM), Pollution Control Agency (PCA), Energy and Economic Development Department, and Ethical Practices Board.

The subject files contain correspondence, reports, memos, and related materials and focus on the board's relationship with the attorney general's office, particularly Special Assistant Attorney General Alan C. Williams; with several other state and regional agencies; with legislators; and with the governor's subcabinet on energy, environment, and resources.
