They reflect and document the history of the organization from its 1849 beginning as the first private corporation chartered by the territorial legislature.

Articles of incorporation and minutes (1887-1971), correspondence, financial records (1936-1964), legal agreements, patent and trademark information, product catalogs, and scrapbooks ([193-]-1990) documenting a Minneapolis-based clothing manufacturer, its predecessor, Northwestern Knitting Company, and several clothing subsidiaries.
Natural Resources Department: An Inventory of Its Tribal Relations Files gr03550
Documents gathered from several Natural Resources Department offices concerning a wide variety of interactions between the Department and Minnesota's tribal bands (primarily Ojibwe and Dakota). The documents include legal documents, memos, correspondence, news releases, meeting minutes, reports; and copies of news clippings, case law, treaties, and U.S. House and Senate proceedings. The copies of case law, treaties, and U.S. House and Senate proceedings may be dated earlier than 1978, with some documents dating from 1842.

George Easton Senkler and Family: An Inventory of Their Papers 01289
Correspondence, diaries, genealogical data, and other papers of this St. Paul (Minn.) physician. There are letters from Dr. William Osler (1898-1901); letters and a diary of Senkler and his wife Abigail during a trip to Europe (1902); letters from their son, Albert E., while working for the Somers Lumber Company in Montana (1920s); letters from Canadian relatives giving genealogical data and family news (1938-1965); and Senkler's diaries (1892-1918) with notes on his medical cases.

Entitled "Reflections on Regional Planning: The Twin Cities Experience." Conducted by Brian Ohm. The conversation with Mr. Kari coveres the early years of the Council and the original development framework, the work of the Council from the 1980s and beyond, the impact of the Council's investment on the region, and Prospect Park as an example of how neighborhood planning can relate to city and regional policies. Includes a brief biography of Mr. Kari and color images.
