Expand/CollapseSCOPE AND CONTENTS

Records kept by Jack H. Dielentheis, Commission Business Manager/Accountant, covering the financial aspects of all the Commission's administrative and committee activities and special projects. A set of alphabetical subject files contains correspondence, inter-office memos, budget figures, notes, contributors lists, distribution data, inventories, insurance data and policies, contracts, and other financial documents, and include coverage of such financial topics as accounting methods, insurance, budget, office rental, equipment, and unemployment compensation.

Also in the records are a State of Minnesota Treasurer deposit record (March 1957 - May 1959); Midway National Bank monthly account statements (February-June 1958); two sets of numeric sub-vouchers, organized by Commission identification number, and listing nature of expenditure, amount, company, date, and series (1955-July 1957, July 1957-1959); a ledger housing both a numerical accounts payable register (June 1957 - March 1959) and an alphabetical register of appropriations (1957-1959); an expense abstract and warrant register (1956-1959); and an expense abstract and warrant register of salaries only (1956-1959). The second set of sub-vouchers (July 1957-1959) and the ledger and registers cross-reference each other through project identification numbers and abstract numbers. Several listings of the Commission's project identification numbers are found in the alphabetical subject file titled Budget; none, however, appears to be complete.

Note to Researcher: These files and volumes include information on almost all topics relating to the Centennial; the Detailed Description section should be consulted for further content data.
