	Abstract:	Correspondence (1988-1991), memoranda (1989-1992), project reports, inventories, exhibition catalogs (1897-1989), and brochures (1990-1992) related to a project conducted under the Minnesota Historical Society research leave program. The project's objectives were to identify Minnesota artists exhibiting works of art in serial group shows in Minnesota during the 20th century, and to consolidate and organize the resulting information in a computer format which would facilitate research into Minnesota's art history.

The collection contains papers reflecting adminstrative aspects of the project including its budget, final report, and evaluation; correspondence related to the location and identification of sources; lists of exhibits and identification numbers linked to the project database, which contains over 28,000 artworks representing nearly 5,000 artists and 16 fine art annual/biennial exhibits (1900-1970); and exhibition catalogs collected during the project.
