SCOPE AND CONTENTS
Urban Concerns Workshops, Inc. (UCWI) operated from 1970 to 1993, bringing youth and minorities into the political process through training workshops, days at the Capitol, and meetings with state officials and community leaders. In the mid-1970s UCWI expanded its focus to provide political education for business employees. In addition to providing political education programs, UCWI produced videos and workbooks for use with its programs.
Includes a history of the organization (ca. 1979), administrative information, bylaws, board information, minutes and agendas, program information, two photographs, UCWI's The Local Government Handbook (1982), board minutes (1989-1991), financial statements (1977-1990), and a film: Urban concerns project 120.
