HISTORICAL NOTE
The Work Equity Project, established under Minn. Stat. 256, was jointly administered by the Public Welfare Dept., the Economic Security Dept., and the City of St. Paul. Its initial funding came from the U.S. Labor Dept. through the Comprehensive Employment and Training Act (CETA) and the Work Incentive Program (WIN).
SCOPE AND CONTENTS
Records pertaining to the Public Welfare Department's participation in this work and training demonstration project. They include the project staff's correspondence with state agencies (particularly the Economic Security Department and the Governor's Manpower Office), local welfare offices, and federal agencies; planning reports; grant files; project manuals; Institutional Review Board correspondence and subject files; Work Incentive Program files; and a variety of miscellaneous subject files, bulletins, and reports.
