Abstract:The collection consists primarily of views of Native American Indians from the midwestern and western United States, including identified Indian portraits. Minnesota views include Lower Sioux Indian Community, Leech Lake Indian Reservation in Minnesota, Sibley House in Mendota and an 1860 view of Duluth. Also includes portraits of Henry B. Whipple, Katherine McMillan, Isaac McNair, Jean B. Faribault and Mary Schwandt Schmidt.
