Expand/CollapseSCOPE AND CONTENTS

Albert Japs acquired his camera in 1910 and used it to shoot images on glass plate negatives until 1928 when he switched to film. Photographs in the album were printed from scans of the original glass plate negatives in 2009. The prints include text added by Albert's son, Clifford Japs, which is not present on the negatives. Some of the text is cut off at the edges of the photographs. Only 83 of the glass plate negatives were donated with the collection.
