Abstract:Photograph collection by Larry Schlick from his time at the Worthington Daily Globe where he served as photo editor from 1957 until 1969. Images highlight local news and sports, as well as certain features for the newspaper. Views around Minnesota, national politicians at Turkey Day in Worthington, and various other events around the area are included as well. Schlick entered his photographs in numerous competitions and many of his favorites are in the collection.

Lawrence ("Larry") Schlick was born March 28, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota going to school at St. Paul Academy and Macalester College. Schlick worked for 12 years (1957-1969) at the Worthington Daily Globe as photo editor, where he won many awards for his photography. In 1969, he began teaching at Academy of Basic Education (later Brookfield Academy) and later taught for several years at Mercy Academy. Schlick passed away in 2013.
