Photographs were originally received, organized, and numbered as components of accession AV1985.173 (folders SJ1 to SJ28); additional photographs originally organized with this group but not numbered were numbered (folders SJ29 to SJ34); and miscellaneous photographs received as part of other accessions were added. The latter have been interfiled into the organized folders where subject matter was the same; those that did not fit into established subject folders were grouped into separate folders at the end of the sequence (folders SJ35 to SJ45).The photographs now consist of three groups: subject folders (SJ1 to SJ45), Shop Pond Gang (SJ46: 2 folders and 34 items), and oversize photographs (SJ49).

Stereo slides were originally housed in a small carrying cabinet with four drawers and on two revolving display carousels. Those pertaining to Ice Follies performances were retained; weeded of duplicates and slides of poor visual quality; organized by year; and numbered sequentially in pencil. All retained slides were rehoused in the original small carrying cabinet.
