Toyota's manufacturing facilities are the heart of all we do. It's where our design, engineering, research and development are realized. Throughout the U.S., thousands of highly skilled team members have assembled more than 34 million cars and trucks across our 11 manufacturing facilities, including a new battery plant in North Carolina and a joint venture with Mazda in Alabama.
The manufacturing production began in 2011, with the sole task of the Toyota Corolla's production. Since the start of production, this facility has been responsible for producing roughly 100,000 vehicles per year. In 2018, strides were made to upgrade the facility and enhance the efficiency and practices of their production.

This plant specializes in SUVs and has played a key role in Toyota's American production for years. While the Ann Arbor, Michigan design studio works closely together with engineers at the Toyota Technical Center on North American production trucks and cars like the rugged 2024 Tacoma and 2022 Tundra, the Newport Beach studio works on advanced and experimental designs like the 2024 Land Cruiser, 2023 BLC, and 2014 Toyota FT. Toyota is investing in five US manufacturing plants that will increase its hybrid production capacity and assist with producing the Corolla hybrid, creating 252 new jobs.
