Is 1996 Late 90's

Early 90s vs. Late 90s- Which Do You Choose? I thought it'd be fun to do a little poll thread! I'm gonna make it a little "This or That" where we choose which era we like for certain subjects. For this thread: Early 90s: 1990 - 1995 (ish) Late 90s: 1996 - 1999 These aren't concrete though.

Same as it's accurate to say the late 1990s is 1996-1999. 1993 and 1996, 2003 and 2006, 2013 and 2016, 1983 and 1986 etc are all years that are a mix of both early and mid. To answer your question directly 1993 is both early and mid.

mid-90's: [A time] [period] between the [years] 1994. 1996 was definitely the beginning of the late '90s. We were just three years away from 1999 (the first year of the 2000s).

In '96, all of the loose ends of the mid '90s (1993, 1994, and 1995) were tied up and very early 2000s (1999, 2000, and 2001) pop culture started to appear. 1996-1999: late 90's If you go 99% accurate. January 1, 1990-April 30, 1993: early 90's May 1, 1993-August 31, 1996: mid 90's September 1, 1996-December 31, 1999: late 90's The same scenario would go for any decade in general if some were to ask you what would be considered as early, mid, or late.

cities, counties, and zip codes on our site: City. You? For me, 1990 to 1995 was the Grungey, emotional, intense, and edgy, vibes of the decade, and 1996 to 1999 was the more bubbly, teen pop-ey, and inflated, part, of the decade. It's almost as if there are two 1990's.

Drew Barrymore, around ~1991? The more edgy part of the 1990's. The Spice Girls, in 1997. The more colorful, bubbly, part, of the 1990's.

I know there are exceptions, like. 1996 was a culturally mid 90s year although some late 90s elements started to emerge late that year, and even late in the year from what I remember I would still consider mostly mid 90s, hell even 1997 felt strongly mid 90s up until the summer of that year. The last people who can consider themselves 90s kids are 92.

Early '90s - 1 January 1990 to Summer 1993 * I'm not going to call any part of 1989 "early '90s" when it was still the '80s. The early/mid/late cutoffs are a bit more subjective, though.
