Bathroom Inside Bedroom Reddit

29 votes, 37 comments. There is a trend, especially in houses that are let out as Airbnbs, to put bathrooms inside bedrooms with no walls or doors in. I hate when a bathroom is connected to a bedroom.

This is probably super, super random but I was just thinking about it while in bed. I find it super unsanitary and just all around weird when there is a door from one bedroom that opens into the bathroom. I live in the second.

The shower is too small, and there's a big bathtub that is only used to store stuff taking up space. As long as you have a tub elsewhere in the house (for kids to take a bath), I think you're ok. It seems like the trend is starting to be for master bathrooms to start having bigger showers in lieu of a tub.

I'm working with an architectural designer on a layout to convert a large garage into a 1 BR apartment. One design element that we were debating is if the bathroom should be accessible only from the bedroom, or only from outside the bedroom. or a 2 door bathroom.

I wanted to get opinions on what the community felt is a more appealing design. Beautiful views and gardens, and it's quite cosy and pretty on the inside. It just doesn't feel like real people live there - lacking little things like toothbrushes, books, personal things on the bedside tables; a rail of empty coat hangers; and yes, the bath in the bedroom.
