2005 Toyota Sienna Gear Shift Stuck

I had a problem with the gearshift in my 2005 Toyota Sienna. The shifter would move up and down but the car would not engage and I was stuck in neutral. I found that there is a plastic device that is attached to the end of the shift cable and it appears to have slipped off.
