Using a 1981 BMW M1 E26 as the base, Fieg & BMW rebuilt the car by sourcing original components from various BMW archives. He chose one of the brand's rarest and most premium colors. The third collaboration between BMW and Kith has created two very special BMW M models with exceptional designs: the BMW M1 E26 by Ronnie Fieg and the BMW XM Kith Concept.

BMW, in its third partnership with New York City luxury clothing brand Kith, has debuted a special-edition XM SUV and a one-off custom 1981 M1 sports car at the 2024 edition of Miami's Art Basel. Kith founder Ronnie Fieg continues his streak of refreshing our favorite vintage Bimmers with a 1981 BMW M1 clad in Techno Violet paint.
