Toyota's latest Japanese commercial for its C-HR subcompact crossover invades the world of video games to showcase testimonials from the stars Capcom's landmark arcade fighting game Street Fighter II. The car may not be nostalgic, but the game certainly is. Toyota has enlisted the help of the Street Fighter II cast to promote the new C-HR.

And this Toyota commercial for Japan, first spotted by Kotaku, brings two of those three things together. The ad drops the new Toyota C-HR crossover into Capcom's famed fighting game, Street. Toyota and Capcom have partnered to create a new ad.

The advertisement for the automaker has Ryu driving in the brand new C-HR, traveling the world, and at the end getting into a bit of trouble. The online ad in question features a number of well-known Street Fighter II characters, together with music by the legendary rock band Queen, in a drive to promote Toyota Motor Corp.'s new SUV. What happens in the video titled 'Crossover the World' is that Street Fighter character Ryu purchases the Toyota CH-R, gets E.Honda to wash it, and goes around the globe, getting approval from the other characters like Blanka, Sagat, Chun Li and Zangief along the way before ending up in a boss fight where the CH-R totally kicks M.Bison's butt.

Although there are not much of the C-HR's. In today's edition of "never thought I would see THAT," it appears as if Toyota has teamed up with the cast of Street Fighter II to help advertise their new vehicle the C-HR. Yes, you read that correctly: Toyota and Street Fighter.
