The ghost cannot open a closet/locker door that is currently being held by a player; Ideally, using this method, the ghost can only open one of the closet doors. Both doors can be held, in multiplayer. When hiding in a closet with one door fully open, you must hug the door you are holding to have better chances at survival.
This works in a radius through any wall. If this is a locker or closet, the ghost will open the doors the first time normal, the second time it will force open the doors and kill you. If you think, you "pinged" the ghost, you should change your hiding spot asap, following the rules of line of sight, noise and electronical devices.
I started playing phasmophobia again and i got killed because the ghost was able to open both closet doors fully. Anyone know in what patch they released this? The ghost cannot open a closet door during a hunt if you are holding it and it doesn't know you are there.
Ghosts also do not open doors during ghost events. However, it can open a door as a normal interaction right after a ghost event. So that's probably what happened.
By holding the handle, a ghost can't swing a closet door open and find your location. The fact that ghosts can now investigate lockers and closets increases a ghost's intensity entering a hunt. My fun in public matches is collecting the 7 candles on one of the maps, hiding in the closet, and screaming obcenities during the hunt phase with the door closed.
Unless it changes on the harder difficulties, The ghost is basically lobotomized and is unable to find me unless I leave the door open. Depending on the difficulty, a random number of doors will be open or ajar at the start of the game. This is important because a wide open passageway door, or several wide open hiding spot doors, tend to indicate the ghost is likely within the immediate area.
Furthermore, I avoid closet hiding at all costs because if you're in there just by yourself and nobody to hold the other door, it's so easy for a ghost to open the other door and that's all she wrote at that point. Lockers (because it's single door), beside armoires/big appliances, and behind wood panels are my go-to spots. Tanglewood for example?
A lot of the time when I hold one of the closet doors closed, the ghost will open them all the way and kill me instantly, despite me holding one of them. I can't seem to survive very much while hiding in a closet. My electronics are off and I have push to talk on.
Anything I might be doing wrong? There are cases where I'm hiding, and the ghost just comes in. Everything is off, Mic, electronics, and I still get caught.
I have closed doors, spots they don't go in, and in one case it was chasing someone else, and just goes on me. What is going on?
