Like all Toyota SUVs, the Sequoia is built for the long haul. Toyota offers a third row in the 2025 4Runner's SR5 and Limited trims, with the extra seats costing $770 and $1,330 for each trim, respectively. The Toyota 4Runner has long been celebrated as a rugged, off-road-ready SUV that blends durability with everyday usability.

Among its many features, one of the most discussed aspects is its seating configuration-specifically, whether the 4Runner has a third row, how it impacts passenger and cargo. The 2025 Toyota 4Runner offers an optional third-row seat on the SR5 and Limited trims, expanding capacity to seven passengers. However, the third row is best suited for children or smaller adults due to limited space.

If you haven't seen the videos, the 3rd row is very tight and only designed for small children (I'd guess 5' to 5'4" tall people max. It also only comes in non-hybrid only as the battery of the hybrids raises the floor close to 6" it looks like.
