Two questions. 1) Does the hybrid battery supply any power to any ancillary items? I'm assuming it at least supplies power to the 2400W 120V outlets because without the hybrid battery there is only 400W available. I get the gas engine has to be on to get the 2400W.

2) What is the wattage out. Would the 12-volt battery really just discharge completely without the engine kicking in to charge it? You would think that Toyota would design these hybrid engines to keep the charge of the 12-volt battery even if the engine is off but the electric motor on, however, this wording from the owner's manual suggests that's not the case.
