Toyota Key Fob Distance

Key fob range is horrible for Rav4 and Venza. Not worth having You have to be right beside the car for the remote start to actually work, ridiculous. The range of a keyless entry system in Toyota vehicles can vary depending on the specific technology used by the manufacturer.

Generally, the range distance of a keyless entry system can be anywhere from a few feet to several hundred feet. I'm noticing that the distance at which I can unlock the '13 RAV4 is much less than that of my '06. In my prior RAV4, I could easily do the unlock from 80.

Yes, my gen 4 fob doesn't have the range of the gen 2 sienna fob. and it's about 3x as big! seriously this thing is huge. I guess it's necessary for the smart key models that let you unlock with proximity to the door, but us poor LE owners deserve something sleeker.

Both key fobs won't work around the 30 foot range and if there's any type of wall in between us it won't work hardly at all. I even have trouble getting the fob to work when I'm in my living room and it's in my basement. Did you always have this problem, or did you possibly replace your cargo lights with Amazon LED's and it started?
