Toyota Key Fob Range Extender

I notice on my 2016 Rav that the key fob is the weakest fob known to man. I replaced the battery and no improvement. Is there any hack or aftermarket fob which would improve things? I notice on my 2015 Prius that uses the same fob that it's similarly worthless and weak.
